“On the Reserve Hunting”

On San Valley Game Reserve we are in the process of establishing sustainable cycles in both our Fauna & Flora. So far we are succeeding.

Unfortunately, some of the role players required are now extinct. The Cape Mountain Lion is one of these. Without this large predator, animals that Nature would normally remove are allowed to breed unchecked. This means that bad genes are allowed to propagate. We have therefore been compelled to remove these animals out of the cycle.

The hunter takes the place of the extinct Cape Mountain Lion. Only animals that would normally be taken by the lion will be hunted. In this way the hunter assists in completing Nature's cycle within the game reserve.

We therefore allow very selective hunting and, since the availability of animals varies, animals have to be booked when making the reservation.  Visit @Hunter's Catalyst for more details or email us.

"Off the Reserve Hunting” (Concession Area Hunts)

Within a 200km radius of San Valley Game Reserve there are many game farms that have excess animals that are available for hunting. We have obtained the concessions to hunt on these farms. Visit @Hunter's Catalyst for more details or email us.

Hunting Costs

Please take note that these prices are only for hunting. The rest of the daily costs can be found on our standard price list. (meals accommodation etc.) All prices quoted, exclude the meat, unless otherwise arranged.

Day Fee R150-00 per hunter + R50-00 per non hunter.  Hunters vehicle to be used. If our vehicle + R50-00 per hour. The rest of the costs can be viewed @Hunter’s Catalyst.
